FUM President attended the 7th General Assembly of Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World in Morocco ( Archive )







The 7th General Assembly of Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) commenced with the presence of Prof. Kafi, President of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), and the other university presidents of the Islamic world in Rabat, the capital of morocco, at the central office of the ISESCO, on February 13, 2017. Abdul Aziz Al-Tajwiri, the general secretary of Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), announced that the assembly is considering the joining of 24 new universities. He also stated that FUIW is present at the assembly and will offer certain scientific projects on the improvement of the university performances, including ways to evaluate performance of the universities, a scientific, research and innovation monitoring of the Islamic world project, which observes the top approaches and success stories of the member universities. Among the programs of the assembly, one scientific session is allocated to the financial stability and its role in the enhancement of the universities performance.

In addition, two meetings will be held on the subject of “Cooperation and Participation for the purpose of joint university collaboration enhancement” and “sustainable financial and organizational development of universities performance”. It should be mentioned that Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), a branch of ISESCO, was established in 1987 and consists of 314 universities and higher education institutes.The conference will end on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
