Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

A meeting was held among Dr. Mohammad Kafi president of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Alireza Rashidian governor of Khorasan Razavi, Rustam Minnikhanov President of Tatarstan. Luan Jagarian ambassadar of Russia in Iran and their board members on 20st of April 2017 in Ferdowsi university central organization.

After the welcome wagon for the Russian board of members, Dr. Mohhamad Kafi president of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad mentioned the important role of Tatarstan in Russian union and added: since there are numerous similarities between Khorasan and Tatarstan in the zest for knowledge and learning in both nations, we expect to develop our cooperation in scientific and educational areas.

Later on, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad was introduced to those present. With 23000 students and 850 academic members from 180 different fields of study in 13 faculties involving 1500 international students, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad announced its willingness to expand cooperation between the two countries. 

In addition, Rustam minnikhanov president of Tatarstan expressed his satisfaction about signing a contract between university of Mashhad and Federal Kazan Tatarstan and continued to explain more on the university and its facilities he said:” This university is one of the most developed educational centers in Russia and in order to improve, we are welcoming this cooperation with open arms.”

President of Tatarstan mentioned the fact that 21st century is the age of science and technology and added that countries conscious about improvement in every aspect such as economics, culture and humanity should know that this can only happen through advances in universities.

Concerning the application of the contract he mentioned that he will personally look into it since he is also the head of board of trustees of Tatarstan university.

Linar Latipov from international office of university elaborated more on its facilities and at the end, memorandum of understanding was signed between the two universities by Dr. Bahrami vice president of science and technology of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Linar Latipov vice president of international relations of Kazan University. Based upon this contract the universities will cooperate in geology, petrochemistry, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering and human sciences.

At last president and his board visited the facilities on Ferdowsi universities Campus.
