Visit of the Head of the Persian Language and Literature and Iranology Studies Group at the University of Strasbourg to the Persian Language Learning Center at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad ( Archive )






On October 31, Dr. Nader Nasiri-Moghaddam, the Head of the English Language and Literature and Iranology Studies Group at the University of Strasbourg, visited the International Center for Teaching Persian language to non-Persian Speakers at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. During this visit, Dr. Nasiri negotiated with the head of Ferdowsi center about the possibilities for expanding mutual collaborations.
Dr. Hamideh Lotfinia, teacher of the Persian Language group at Strasbourg University, and Dr. Farsian, Faculty Member at the Department of French Language and Literature at FUM accompanied Dr. Nasiri-Moghaddam. This group visited a conversation class of Persian learners coming from England, Germany, Japan and South Korea and observed the teaching method and facilities at Ferdowsi Center. The French delegation also visited the E-learning system at this center.
During this meeting, Dr. Ehsan Ghabool presented a brief introduction to Ferdowsi Center and its facilities, and announced the preparedness of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad for holding Persian language learning e-courses and knowledge-enhancing courses for PhD students of both universities. 
Also, Dr. Nasiri-Moghaddam described the facilities and atmosphere of the International Center for Teaching Persian language to non-Persian Speakers at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad as ‘highly desirable’ and talked of sending Persian language students at the University of Strasbourg for participating in summer language courses at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. Also, he expressed high hopes for the expansion of mutual collaborations between the University of Strasbourg and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. 
At the end of this meeting, Dr. Ghabool dedicated a series of Persian language learning books and a bust of ‘Hakim Abu ʾl-Qasim Ferdowsi’ to Dr. Nader Nasiri-Moghaddam.
