International Avant-garde Contemporary Architecture and Urban planning Congress in the Islamic Countries ( Archive )






At the opening of the international congress on avant-garde contemporary architecture in Islamic countries, Dr. kamelnia the head of architecture and urbanism faculty and the director of the congress mentioned the status of ferdowsi university in diplomatic basis and the development of international relations, whilst welcoming the professors.

Also, he informed of starting the interactions between the ferdowsi university and especially the faculty of architecture and urbanism of FUM and Politecnico di Milano.

prof. Mohammad Kafi, president of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, in international congress on avant-garde contemporary architecture and urbanism, emphasized on the importance of holding the congress with the approach of avant-garde contemporary architecture and urbanism in the great Khorasan specially in Mashhad as the religious capital of islamic world, whilst he thanked all researchers in order to increase activitues in such fields. He also did claim the status of Ferdowsi univetsity of Mashhad in the country and in the world.

At the opening of the international congress on avant-garde contemporary architecture and urbanism in islamic countries, Dr Hossein Nejad the deputy of architecture and urbanism at municipality of Mashhad, requested from architectural and urbanism students and principals to express their ideas and for more projects to take place and the idea’s impact on the rural perspective and the image. he also claimed about the importance of noticing the context identity and more usage of traditional materials.

The first professional presentation on connecting the past and the present as a road to the future was held by Prof. Philippe Revault, from the France university and Dr. Haghir, the professor at Tehran University.

He stated the importance of considering the past, investigating it as an experience, modernism, and traditionalism and mentioned rural progress as the first event which can take place to move towards future.

Dr. Antonella continues asking questions in the following basics, whilst mentioning the principles of citizenship in metropolises and exploring new methods of transferring information and plans and cooperations among experts.
