FUM and University of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS) of Iraq signed an MOU ( Archive )
Dr. Khaghani, President of State University of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS), visited Prof. Mohammad Kafi, President of FUM, on Monday, May 14, 2018. During the meeting, Dr. Ghabool, Head of International Academic Relations Department of FUM, as well as Dr. Raeisian, Dean of the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies of FUM, discussed the issues related to the promotion of relationships between the two universities.
Dr. Khaghani expressed his gratitude to the invitation of FUM and introduced University of Imam Musa Kazem (AS).” The university, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Endowments of Iraq, was established nine years ago. Law, political science, economics, English and Arabic languages, Islamic and Qur'anic sciences, medical engineering, etc. are among the fields taught bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.” he added.
Prof. Mohammad Kafi, President of FUM, referred to the 70-year background of FUM and said: "We are ready to help each other”. Prof. Kafi added: "Our goal is to develop bilateral cooperation with universities in neighboring countries.” He commented on the privileges of FUM and said that "Neighborhood with the Court of Eighth Imam (AS) and travelling facilities existing between Iraqi cities and Mashhad, as well as suitable accommodations, are among the reasons which have made Iraqi students and faculty members interested in furthering their education and participating at training courses at FUM.
Other topics discussed at the meeting were running bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the fields of Islamic science and the capacity of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS) University for sending students to FUM.
