Formula SAE Team of FUM was selected as the best first-time participants at the Formula SAE competition held in Italy, July 2018,
The five-student team of FUM, - Vahid Riazi Tehrani, Saeed Riazi Tehrani, Hamid Moein Fard, Amir Reza Sanei and Hojat Mehdi - who participated with the "Sorna" car for the first time, successfully passed all the technical and dynamic tests.
According to the final results of the five-day tournament, which was attended by 88 teams from 82 different universities in the city of Varano, in northern Italy, the student formula vehicle of FUM students came first in the exhaust sound test section, third place in fuel consumption and efficiency test, they ranked 14th in the endurance test and ranked second in the technical inspections of the tournament. In total, Iran's student team came 23rd among the 88 teams participating in the tournament.
