Iranian universities among 1000 best universities in the world ( Archive )
Nine Iranian universities have been ranked among 1000 best universities in the world.
“University of Tehran improved its position and climbed to the 388th place,” the head of Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), Mohammad Javad Dehghani said.
He pointed out that the names of these nine Iranian universities have been published in the Webometrics website which is the most valid and comprehensive reference of ranking the universities.
Webometrics ranking lists universities according to a series of indicators associated with the volume and quality of their web pages and with the highly cited academic publications in several academic databases.
University of Tehran (388), Tehran University of Medical Sciences (555), Sharif University of Technology Tehran (594), Amirkabir University of Technology (785), Tarbiat Modares University (851), Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (920), Isfahan University of Technology (933), Iran University of Science & Technology Tehran (949) and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (989) are the 9 universities have been ranked among 1000 best universities in the world.
