Joint Iran-India Cooperation for carrying out 12 research projects ( Archive )






Prof. Mohammad Kafi, President of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), announced reached agreements between Iran and India to conduct 12 joint research projects between the two countries.

In addition to the announced news by President of FUM, he added that, as of 2018, after joint summoning by the two countries, 73 proposals were submitted to the Secretariat of Scientific Cooperation of Iran and India, based at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, within 45 days; after exchanging these suggestions with their respective secretariat in India, their assessment process was conducted independently and in a parallel manner in both countries.

At joint meetings held in New Delhi in July, the joint evaluation committees of the two countries eventually chose 12 projects, 8 of which are in the field of biotechnology and 4 are related to water resource management.

It should be noted that FUM has been selected by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology as the national secretariat for Scientific Cooperation between Iran and India, and will thus coordinate, support and oversee the implementation of the above projects.
