Members of the French Agricultural Research Center visited Ferdowsi University of Mashhad as part of a high-ranking faculty and research delegation. They discussed and exchanged views at a specialized meeting with Faculty members of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM).

According to the Public Relations of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, members of the French Agricultural Research Center visited Ferdowsi University of Mashhad as part of a high-ranking faculty and research delegation and also discussed exchanged views at a specialized meeting with Faculty members at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM).

 Prof. Reza Pishghadam, Vice-President of Academic Affairs of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), pointed out the agricultural status of Khorasan Razavi Province in the country and stated that: “At the present, Khorasan Razavi province provides over 10% of Iran's agricultural products; undoubtedly the use of new science and technology in this area will be very significant and highly important.”

Dr. Ahmad Nezami, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, also referred to the high number of collaborations between the Faculty of Agriculture of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad with different universities of the world. He expressed hope that interaction and dialogue between members of the French Agricultural Research Center with this Faculty can be conducive in facing major challenges facing agriculture, most important one being water crisis.

Dr. Izomber, the Director of French Agricultural Research Center, appreciated the invitation of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad for the presence of the members of the center at FUM, and he continued that: "My colleagues at the center are in the form of companies, research and scientific institutions in various fields of agriculture and food industry are trying to boost the production of agricultural products, and certainly our cooperation with other scientific and research institutions around the world can be very useful.

Head of the French Agricultural Research Center considered the global challenges facing agriculture, including water crisis and climate change, as opportunities to collaborate and work together to find the right solutions using each other’s experience. We can say that agriculture is a factor for global, if we work together in this area.
