Visit of the delegation of Mustansiriya University, Baghdad, from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad ( Archive )
Ten faculty members from Mustansiriya University in Baghdad visited Ferdowsi University of Mashhad’s faculties in October 2018. In this regard, the capacities of FUM and Mustansiriya University in humanities in educational and research fields were examined.
In the meeting with the delegation of Mustansiriya University, Dr. Ghabool, Director of International Scientific and Academic Relations and International Student Affairs at FUM, pointed out that Iraqi universities are currently the first partner for international scientific cooperation of Ferdowsi University in Mashhad, and keeping and expanding these relations are among the main goals of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
The delegation of Mustansiriya University introduced Ferdowsi University of Mashhad as the most recognized Iranian university among Iraqi students, which has very good capacities. He also assessed the conditions for international cooperation with the Faculty of Letters and Humanities and Faculty of Educational Science and Psychology as highly desirable.
At the end of the visit, agreements were made concerning accreditation of the two leading academic journals of both parties, presence of supervisors and referees in the dissertations of the two universities, exchange of academic members, and holding of a joint Ph.D. course, which is to be signed by the presidents of the two universities in the form of action plan.
It is worth mentioning that Mustansiriya University, with a capacity of 45,000 students, is one of the top universities in Iraq, which signed an MOU with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2016.
