Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

A meeting was held between the officials of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) on June 13, 2019. The participants were Professor Mohammad Kafi, the President of FUM, Professor Reza Pishghadam, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr, Ehsan Ghabool, the Head of International Academic Relations Department, Dr. Azra Ghandeharion, the Head of Planning and Development of International Cooperation, Professor Asma Esmaeel, the President of USM, and Mahfouzeh Osman, the Head of International Relations. They discussed the academic cooperation between two universities.

In this meeting, Professor Mohammad Kafi, the president of FUM, pointed to the achievements of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. He mentioned that one of the goals of the university is internationalization, and so far Ferdowsi University of Mashhad has been among the most successful universities in Iran by attracting the largest foreign student.

Referring to the existence of the International Center for Teaching Persian Language to non-Persian Speakers of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, he emphasized on the importance of learning each other's language for the sake of mutual understanding and announced the readiness of this Center to provide the
necessary cooperation for the USM.
