Discovering and Coining the Two New Plant Species in the Honor of the Emeritus Professor Dr. Mohammad Hasan Rashed Mohassel from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad ( Archive )
Two new plant species including A. microfoliolatus sp. nova and A. rashed-mohasseli sp. nova were found for the first time in the world by the researchers at the herbarium of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUMH). The latter species is coined in the honor of the emeritus professor Dr. Mohammad Hasan Rashed Mohassel who was one of the founders of FUMH.
Taxonomic descriptions, illustrations, and distribution maps are provided in the paper which is titled "Two new species and a new record of the genus Astragalus (Fabaceae) from NE Iran". This paper has been published in the Nova Biologica Reperta Journal.
