Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

Dr. Hussamuddin Taleghani, Head of the National Elite Foundation of Afghanistan, had a visit with Professor Mohammad Kafi, President of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

During the meeting with the presence of Mr. Hosseini a representative of National Elite Foundation of Afghanistan at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Dr. Mohammad Kafi noted the necessity for the continuation and expansion of academic relations between Iran and Afghanistan and emphasized the importance of elite students on both sides. Dr. Kafi announced the readiness of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad to support Afghan elite students in the field of education and research. He expressed hope that with the mutual cooperation of the two sides, the promotion and utilization of Afghan students in Afghanistan would be further developed.

Dr. Taleghani also introduced the Foundation as a People's organization whose main mission is to identify, support and entrepreneurize the elite of Afghanistan. He referred to the high scientific status of Afghan graduates from Iranian universities, particularly Ferdowsi University and announced the foundation's readiness to sign a memorandum of understanding with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and carry out joint programs.

Dr. Ehsan Ghabool, Head of International Academic Relations Department at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, also referred to some programs of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad for top international students by presenting a report on the number of international students from Afghanistan and various programs with Afghanistan. He expressed hope that with a sign of a memorandum of understanding, these programs will be applied more for Afghan students.
