Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

A high-level delegation consisting of the directors and heads of Pakistan's culturally active religious institutions visited various departments of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM) on Saturday, January 18, 2020. The Pakistani delegation first met with Hojjat al-Islam Hosseini-Motlagh, the head of the Supreme Leader's delegation at FUM, and Dr. Taheri, Vice President for Cultural and Student Affairs, and Deputy Director of the Institute for Islamic Studies. In this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Hosseini-Motlagh emphasized on the Islamic unity between all Islamic religions and the basic strategy of FUM in this regard and expressed readiness to organize joint meetings and programs in this regard. Dr. Taheri introduced some of the university's cultural and religious programs for international students, and emphasized the principle of coexistence in a happy atmosphere and mutual respect in all of the university's cultural programs.

The Pakistani delegation also met with Dr. Zeinab Moazenzadeh, Head of the International Students Office of FUM, and Dr. Mohammad Taghavi, Head of the International Center for Teaching Persian Language to Non-Persian Speakers of FUM.

Interviews with Dr. Raeisian, Dean of the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies, and some of its faculty members were among other programs of the Pakistani delegation, which introduced them to the various disciplines and research priorities of the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies.

At the end of the visit, the Pakistani delegation had a meeting with Dr. Ehsan Ghabool, Head of International Academic Relations of FUM. In this meeting, he introduced FUM as the top international university in the country and region which offers international students with very good education, research, and technology at the lowest cost.

At the meeting, the Pakistani delegation appreciated FUM for its growth and development in various scientific and international sectors. They considered their meetings and conversations with individuals and departments of the university very useful and productive and expressed that the university level in various fields of scientific research was remarkable. They acknowledged the excellence of FUM internationally in calling for the introduction and promotion of FUM in Pakistan and its universities and announced their readiness to carry out the proposed proposals.
