Designing and Construction of Sucking Device for Live Insect Catching at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad
The project of designing and construction of catching live insects device by air suction was completed by a faculty member at Agriculture Department of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in a form of skills training project.

The project was implemented as an innovative design by Dr. Rasool Khodabakhshian, a faculty member of the Department of Biosystems Engineering, and Ms. Hajar Sadat Seyed Ali Beik Lavassani, an undergraduate biosystem engineering student, for the first time in the country. According to the project's director, today we are witnessing the use of chemical insecticides and the killing of insects in the large-scale. Entomologists and botanical students need to catch live insects even a poisonous one in varying sizes. The live catching process for small insects is currently done by aspirator and for other insects it is done by hand.
