Khorasan Razavi Governorate invited Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM) to participate in the 5th International Exhibition of Islamic Republic of Iran in Tajikistan (IranExpo, Dushanbe). Dr. Azra Ghandeharioun, Deputy Director for International Academic Cooperation at FUM, attended the exhibition. This exhibition also attended by Khorasan Razavi Governor Alireza Razmhosseini, Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan Mohammad-Taqi Saberi, Dr. Ali Rasulian Deputy Deputy of Economic Affairs of Khorasan Razavi Governorate, Mohammad Reza Mes-Forosh Manager of Khorasan Province Mining Industry and Mining, Mohammad Reza Heydari, Head of Mashhad Islamic Council, Fezal Zadeh, Tajikistan Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Juma Khanzadeh, chairman of the Tajik Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tajikistan and Iran's top economic activists, as well as ambassadors from Japan, Korea, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.
In a two-day visit of the Governor and Ambassador of Iran, Tajikistan's officials and ministers to the FUM Pavilion, Dr. Ghandeharioun introduced FUM’s international standing in the region and the great cultural and literary sharing of Khorasan-Tajikistan and outlining the cooperation capabilities. FUM has partnered with Tajikistan in the areas of commercialization of higher education, technology, university-to-industry linkages, and teacher training and exchange.
