The 58th meeting of vice-chancellors of education and post-secondary education of universities and higher education institutions across the country ended on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM) with the presence of the Minister of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) and by issuing a statement.
This event, which started on Wednesday, July 6, hosted speakers on its second day, including Dr. Famil Karimi, the head of the security center of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and Dr. Ameli, the secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, and Prof. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol, the minister of science, research, and technology.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Bakhtiar Shabani Varki, vice-chancellor of FUM, after welcoming the guests from the country's universities, the officials of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and the guests from the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution gave their speech. Also, on the second part of the last day of the meeting, Dr. Jamileh Alamolhoda gave a speech focusing on the challenge of freedom in Iranian universities.
The final speaker of this meeting was Prof. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol, Minister of Science, Research and Technology. While appreciating the efforts of the organizers of this meeting at FUM, he described the priorities in higher education, including the authority and scientific diplomacy of technology and innovation, education, research, and targeted output, cultural innovation and the culture of innovation, technological and innovative student upbringing and Production of service, wealth and capital from knowledge.
After that, the educational vice-chancellors of the universities expressed their issues with the Minister of Science, Research and Technology.
