Ferdowsi University of Mashhad Journal Systems Joins PKP as a Strategic Partner ( Archive )






Ferdowsi University of Mashhad Journal Systems (OJS) joined Public Knowledge Project (PKP). 

Public Knowledge Project (PKP) is a multi-university initiative developing (free) open source software and conducting research to improve the quality and reach of scholarly publishing.

Every PKP relationship has a strategic element, but it is a primary focus with these partners. Partnership examples include institutions, publishers, and other agencies that have an ongoing consultative relationship with PKP.

Collaborative activities are wide-ranging and may include some or all of the following: collaboration on research projects, development contributions to PKP software; provision of language translations; assistance with software documentation, learning material or technical support; joint workshops, seminars or conference presentations; participation in UI/UX and PKP software testing; shared advocacy initiatives, or any appropriate activity that contributes to advancements in the scholarly publishing environment.

Recently Ferdowsi University of Mashhad Journal Systems is among 22 Strategic Partner to PKP. Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM) Journal Systems provides journal publishing services to the university, via Open Journal Systems (OJS), in Persian and English.

FUM Journal Systems supports open access to scholarly research and promotes the use of Creative Commons Licensing with participating journals. FUM Journal Systems contributes to PKP, open source developers of the OJS journal platform, by means of providing translations, code, and other technical cooperation.
