The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is a service that indexes high quality, peer-reviewed Open Access research journals and their metadata.
The Directory aims to be comprehensive and covers all open access academic journals that use an appropriate quality control system. The DOAJ is not limited to particular languages or subject areas.
The DOAJ aims to increase the visibility and ease of use of open access academic journals, thereby promoting their visibility, usage, and impact.
Some international publishers on the DOAJ include Brill, PLOS, SAGE Publications, Wiley, Springer Nature, De Gruyter Open, and Thieme Medical Publishers.
In June 2018, FUM Press joined DOAJ as a Publisher Member. This membership highlights the agenda of OA policy in FUM Press and would provide further facilitations on international publishing activities.
