Summit of leading universities of Iran and Turkey in Istanbul ( Archive )
At the invitation of Istanbul Aydın University, presidents of the top universities in Iran and Turkey met in Istanbul, Turkey, in July 2018.
Prof. Mohammad Kafi, President of FUM, along with Dr. Ehsan Ghabool, Director of International Scientific and Academic Relations and International Students Affairs, met with their counterparts in areas of mutual interest.
Prof. Mohammad Kafi, presenting the international capacities of Ferdowsi University in Mashhad, highlighted the international relations of this university with reputable universities of the region and announced the readiness of FUM for international and academic cooperation with recognized Turkish universities.
At the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Istanbul Aydın University; some agreements were reached with that university for carrying out joint activities in the fields of education and psychology. Also, following a previous memorandum signed between Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and the Istanbul Technical University, exchange of one Ph.D. student in basic science and seismology for next year was agreed upon.
