Faculty Member of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad had a Lecture at the University of Toronto ( Archive )







Following the invitation of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations Department at the University of Toronto, Dr. Javad Abbasi, a faculty member of the History Department of the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, had a lecture on March 29, 2019.



In a speech titled "Long Term Heritage of the Mongol Rule in Iran: from Destruction to Construction", Dr. Abbasi reviewed the effects of the Mongol rule on politics, society, and culture of Iran. On the sidelines of the event, different fields of cooperation between the University of Toronto and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, including the exchange of students and Persian learning of the University of Toronto students were also discussed.


One of the achievements of his journey was the publication of Iran Namak magazine at the University of Toronto in collaboration with faculty members at the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
