Dr. Parisa Taheri, a faculty member of the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, published her new book titled “Environmentally Safe Strategies for Plant Protection Against Biotic and Abiotic Stresses” in the prestigious international publication Elsevier. This book examines and analyzes safe and environmentally friendly mechanisms and methods for protecting plants against biotic and abiotic stresses. Given the increasing global demand for organic food and animal feed, the study and application of natural and biological compounds to promote plant growth and protect agricultural products has become increasingly important. In this work, the role of natural compounds extracted from plants, fungi, and beneficial microorganisms, as well as their metabolites, in strengthening plant defense systems and mitigating environmental stresses has been comprehensively investigated. These compounds can be used as biological control agents with direct or indirect effects within the framework of sustainable and organic agriculture. The aforementioned book, comprising 15 chapters and written in collaboration with prominent researchers from four continents and 12 countries, is a valuable resource for researchers, students, and specialists in the fields of plant medicine, agricultural biotechnology, plant biology, plant physiology, plant microbiology, and environmental sciences.
