A Ph.D. Graduate of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad Receives an Award of the Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR)

Dr. Amir Haghverdi, a Ph.D. graduate of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), and Dr. Ali Mirchi, an assistant professor at Oklahoma State University in Riverside, are the joint winners of the 2021 Young Researcher Applied Research Award.


Dr. Haghverdi, who holds a Ph.D. in Irrigation and Drainage under the guidance of Prof. Kamran Davari and Prof. Bijan Ghahraman at the Faculty of Agriculture, FUM, receives this award for valuable research in the field of sustainable management of water resources in agriculture and irrigation of urban and agricultural spaces.


The University Water Resources Council (UCOWR) is a scientific organization of American universities that conducts research in a variety of water resources disciplines. The organization awards annual prizes in 9 different categories.
