Obtaining the ISO 17025: 2017 Standard by the Food Reference Laboratory of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

The certificate of competency of the food Reference laboratory of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad was approved in the meeting of the technical committee of the National Certification Center of Iran on June 8, 2021, and the laboratory succeeded in obtaining the ISO 17025: 2017 standard.


Following the policies of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, the Food Reference Laboratory was established in 2017 to provide services and issue standard certificates in the field of food and agricultural products based on international indicators. Therefore, in line with the Laboratory Network Management programs, providing legal requirements, implementing a quality management system, observing the principles of neutrality and confidentiality, and continuous improvement in providing services based on ISO 17025: 2017 were on the laboratory's agenda.


It should be noted that the scope of activities of the Food Reference Laboratory includes a wide range of physicochemical and microbial tests of products such as saffron, barberry, pistachio, dates, raisins, jujube, and honey.
