Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

A joint meeting between Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM) and Mashhad Municipality was held with the presence of Prof. Mohammad Kafi, President of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, and Mr. Mohammad Reza Kalaei, Mayor of Mashhad, regarding the project of constructing an urban agricultural park in the holy city of Mashhad with the approach of education, promotion and production of healthy products to increase Agriculture productivity on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

In this meeting, Prof. Kafi, President of FUM, considered the cooperation of FUM with Mashhad Municipality regarding the construction of an urban agricultural park very useful and valuable and acknowledged: The goal of FUM is to increase skills and employability of graduates and the construction of this park can increase skills of students of different fields of agriculture as well as gaining experience for the graduates of these fields, and at the same time different sections of the society can achieve healthy and fair agricultural products.

Prof. Mohammad Kafi considered the reconciliation of people with nature and the production of healthy and organic products as the main vision of this project and added: "We hope the interaction, cooperation and support of FUM in specialized and scientific fields with Mashhad Municipality regarding the project of constructing an urban agricultural park can turn into an exhibition of the academic and urban achievements in the field of agriculture and create a market of healthy and organic agricultural products. The result of this project will be knowledge, entrepreneurship, and employment of students and graduates along with the citizens of Mashhad.
