The ceremony to honor Professor Day and honor the week of excellence in education on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, with the presence of Dr. Ahad Zabett, the president of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Hojjatul Islam Imanimoghadam, the head of the representative of the supreme leader in the university, Dr. Ghafari, vice president of cultural, social and student affairs, Prof. Varidi, vice president of administration and finance, Prof. Shabani, vice-chancellor of education, Prof. Lotfi, vice-chancellor of research, and a group of administrators and faculty members were held at FUM.

In this ceremony, while thanking the efforts of the professors and vice-chancellor of the university, Dr. Zabett said: The field of education had a very difficult year in terms of credits, political, social and student issues.

The president of the university added: According to the Supreme Leader, the teacher's soul is the good soul, and in every space where the teacher is present, one can be sure that God's mercy and blessings are there. He considered hope, useful science, quality of education, discipleship and transformation as important topics for professors and said: Academics should be constantly growing and improving.

The president of FUM announced the implementation of the comprehensive plan for the development of the university and stated: In addition to increasing the buildings needed for the faculties, the development of technology and business centers , as well as the provision of housing for professors, have also been seen in this plan.

In the continuation, Hojjat al-Islam Imani Moghadam also stated that a scholar knows his own ignorance and does not enter into something that he does not have expertise in. He said: According to the saying of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), a teacher is not a polemicist, and his entry into debates is through proofs and arguments, therefore. A teacher must be ethical.

The head of the representative body of the Supreme Leader in the university emphasized: Now in the world, the discussion of ethics entering science has become a necessity, and compliance with the law is considered as part of ethics.

Then Prof. Shabani, referring to the problems in the last year, said: Last year, bad waves and anger spread, and this situation made it difficult for interaction and planning in the field of education.

He added: At the same time, we performed actions that show we care about the dignity of our dear colleagues.

Pointing to the change of some laws in the field of professors' promotion, the vice president of the university said: "There were problems in this field that were solved with the help of FAVA, and changes were made in monitoring and evaluation, which helps to develop colleagues instead of controlling them."
