The Championship of Male Wushu Athletes of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in the Universities and Higher Education Institutions Competitions of the 9th Sports Region of the Country

The wushu championship for male students of universities and institutions of higher education in 9th regions of the country, to win the quota of the 16th Cultural and Sports Olympiad for the students of the country's universities, was held on 7-8 February 2023, hosted by Torbet Jam.


In these competitions, 7 teams from Ferdowsi Universities of Mashhad (FUM), Neishabur, Birjand, Hakim Sabzevari, Esfrain Institute of Higher Education, Imam Reza University (AS) of Mashhad and Torbat Jam Institute of Higher Education competed with each other.


In total, the FUM team won 3 gold medals and 1 bronze medal in different weights and won the championship title of this competition. Garmsar University and Khorasan Razavi University were ranked second and third, respectively.


It should be mentioned that Dr. Alireza Khademlou, the secretary of the 9th sports region of the country and the director of physical education at FUM, was also present in these competitions.
