Dr. Ahad Zabett, President of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), along with a delegation from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, visited the universities and scientific centers of Syria to expand scientific and academic cooperation.

This delegation, which consists of the deputy ministers of science, research, technology, Ministry of Health and Medical Education, along with the presidents of FUM, University of Isfahan, Allameh Tabataba'i University and Imam Khomeini International University (RA) Qazvin. This delegation While congratulating the president, vice-presidents and professors of this university for the 100th year of the establishment of Damascus University, examined the ways of cooperation to improve the scientific research level of the two countries.

The discussion on sending students and cooperation with Syrian universities and the serious determination of both sides to exchange professors and students and implement joint scientific and educational cooperation were among the achievements of this trip.

Mohammad Osama Al-Jaban, President of Damascus University, while thanking the presence of the university delegation of our country, said: "Damascus University, with its hundred years of history, is scientifically approved by the prestigious universities of the region and the world, and before that, there are many cooperations with the universities of the Islamic Republic in the field of exchange of professors and student and has had joint scientific fields.

After this meeting, the delegation of our country, participating in the cultural consultation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met and discussed with students and Farsi students educated in Iranian universities, and after hearing their opinions, they examined the issues raised by the students.

After that, in the continuation of this trip, the academic delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran also attended the University of Aleppo and Al-Baath in Homs. In a meeting with the president of University of Aleppo, Dr. Zabett invited him to attend FUM.

Visiting the holy shrine of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH) and the holy shrine of Hazrat Ruqiya (PBUH), meeting with the representative of the Supreme Leader in Syria, visiting Al-Mustafa International University of Damascus, were among the other programs of this academic group.
