Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. At the B.Eng. and M.Eng. levels, Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, Water Engineering, and Transportation Engineering are offered. Structural Engineering and Water Engineering are offered at the Ph.D. level. A minimum of 141 semester hours of credit is required for the B.Eng. level.
