Library of the Faculty of Education and Psychology


The library of this faculty was established in 1972 to provide comprehensive, specialized and up-to-date print and electronic resources to fulfill the information needs of academic staff and students. The main aim of the library is to provide a vast range of books, journals, and databases to support education and research in the faculty. The rich reference collection of the library covers different subject areas of Psychology, Education, Librarianship and Information Science.

The library services cover the followings:

    • Lending library materials to faculty members, B.A., M.S. and Ph.D. students as well as other staff
    • Inter-library loans and document delivery services to researchers
    • Reference services such as providing subject bibliographies and indexes
    • Electronic services including the provision of journal articles from subject databases
    • Guidance and instruction of library patrons regarding search, retrieval and use of electronic databases, search engines, and information resources
    • Abstracting and indexing of dissertations and thesesMore

      Library hours:

    • The library opens at 7:30 am to 14:30pm 6 days a week
    • Lending section opens at 7:30 am to 14:30pm and 15 pm to 17.30 pm 6 days a week,
    • Lending section opens on Thursdays at 7:30 am to 12 noon
    • The reading hall opens at 7:30 am to 19 pm 7 days a week
