Cafeterias and Restaurants at a Glance

After the enrolment process and receiving the student card, you can activate your meal card. To use meal services, you can refer to the student portal at http://pooya.um.ac.ir and then from the student affairs menu select activating the meal card. Students who reside in dormitories must activate their meal cards after settling the affairs related to their accommodation.

  • Fajr Cafeteria (for men)

 With a capacity of 4000 people and an area of 2115 square meters, this cafeteria is located beside the Fajr dormitory complex and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner to male students



  • Pardis Cafeteria (for women)
With a capacity of 3000 people and an area of 858 square meters, this cafeteria is located beside the Pardis 1 dormitory and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner to female students


  • Milad Cafeteria (for men)
With a capacity of 2000 people and an area of 1100 square meters, this cafeteria is located beside the Faculty of Engineering and offers lunch to female and male students


  • Yas Cafeteria (for men)
With a capacity of 2000 people and an area of 1000 square meters, this cafeteria is located beside the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and offers lunch to female and male students


  • Mehr Cafeteria (for women)
With a capacity of 4000 people and an area of 1944 square meters, this cafeteria is located beside the Pardis 5 dormitory and offers lunch and dinner to female students


  • Welfare Center no. 2 (for the staff)
This center is located beside the Faculty of Dentistry and offers meals to the university staff and faculty members, and it also caters for conferences


  • The Olive Restaurant
This restaurant has been built for the use of academic members and staff. The budget for constructing this restaurant was provided by the government. Other related costs have been paid by the university. All the facilities and equipment of the Olive restaurant are owned by Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

According to its contract with the university, this restaurant is responsible for the preparation and distribution of lunch (from 12:30 to 15:00) for the staff and faculty members. This restaurant has the capacity for receiving 300 people at the same time. Employees can recharge their cards through the electronic system for the staff via the staff portal

At the present time, the cost for each meal is 20,000 Rials, and three types of meals are served at an open buffet. Others wishing to dine with no reservation must pay the fee of 60,000 Rials.
