B.A. Program: Library Science is an interdisciplinary science incorporating the humanities, law, and applied science to study topics related to libraries, the collection, organization, preservation and dissemination of information resources, and the political economy. In this program, students get acquainted with the great importance of the role of libraries in the culture, different sciences, and professions in society. A minimum of 135 hours of credit is required for the B.A. in Library Science. M.A. Program: The Master's degree in Library and Information Science is a 33-credit program offered to students who hold a B.A. in this field; those who do not hold this degree should enroll in the 46-credit M.A. program. Ph.D. Program: The Ph.D. program is intended for students who wish to take up academic posts at universities and hold positions at information science centers. A minimum of 36 hours of credit is required for this program.
