Research Center for Wavelets Applications in Linear and Nonlinear Systems

One of the latest developments in Applied Mathematics is Wavelet Theory. The new Theory of Wavelets and Wavelet Estimation Modules replaced classical theories including Classical Fourier Theory to solve different practical problems in Seismology, Signal Processing Systems, Telecommunications, Image Processing and Computer Vision, Elementary Particles, Theory Of Approximation and Location, Forensic, Genetics and Medicine, Engineering, and Physics. Industrial centers and research laboratories try to apply the effective Wavelet Approximation Methods to enhance the quality of their products and the accuracy of their experiments. This new practical theory of Mathematics is the most effective link between Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. The application of Wavelet Theory in industrial zones, universities, and high-tech laboratories like nano-technology labs can be a great help to a dramatic industrial progress in Iran. It can also solve the problems in different organizations of Iran such as telecommunications and seismology. In this regard, there is a need to educate and train experienced researchers. Establishing the Research Center for Wavelets Applications in Linear and Nonlinear Systems with the above-mentioned objectives is of significant importance to Iran. This center can be a place to conduct research projects and wavelet systems modeling as well as solving issues in Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Economy, Industry, Nuclear Energy, Telecommunications, and Computer Hardware and Software and providing proper solutions.

  • To carry out large projects ordered by national and international manufactures and firms
  • To employ chief researchers to conduct studies
  • To set up the necessary projects for industrial, manufacturing, and official sectors
  • To run joint research projects with other research centers
  • To provide job opportunities
  • To train young researchers for big research projects
  • To hold workshops in which modern research findings are exchanged and new research methods are introduced.

Long-term goals

  • To create research groups for special projects
  • To establish the research center and upgrade it to a research institute
  • To carry out international research projects especially those of neighboring countries
  • To offer English postgraduate courses for foreign students
  • To run joint postgraduate courses with international universities and research centers More
