Department of Basic Sciences



The Department of Basic Science consists of the following sections: Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Histology & Embryology. The main focus of the Department is teaching and conducting research into different fields of Basic Veterinary Science, including teaching the courses to provide the essential basis for learning physiopathology of different diseases. The Department of Basic Science comprises the following laboratories: Biochemistry, Physiology and Pharmacology, Histology, and Anatomy. In addition to the training objectives, the Department is active in a wide range of research programs; it is also actively engaged in graduate programs, including the Ph.D. in Comparative Histology.
