Department of Pathobiology



In this department, scientific research is carried out by the academic members with a number of highly equipped laboratories, including Pathology, Immunology, Bacteriology, Virology, Mycology, Parasitology and Cell Culture. Apart from their educational and research activities, the laboratories offer service to the public by performing autopsies and laboratory examinations of the samples submitted to the clinic. Biotechnology Laboratory has been established as part of the expansion and provision of research and training in the field of Veterinary Biotechnology. At present, the department offers Ph.D. programs for Veterinary Parasitology and Biotechnology; it has also been ratified by the FUM Board to develop Ph.D. programs in the field of Pathology.
