Library
The Faculty of Agriculture Library was established in 1974. It currently has 14,000 Persian and 15,000 English books. Additionally, the Library has access to information sources, i.e. Elsevier, CAB, and EBSCO.
Farm
The Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture is 200 hectares; it is located 5 kilometers away from Mashhad. The Farm is used for different purposes, i.e. producing cereal, forage and grass crops, growing different plants, and finally performing various agricultural operations.
Research Field
The Faculty of Agriculture Research Field is 20 hectares; it is used by FUM faculty members and graduate students for the purpose of doing research activities. Various plants are grown and preserved at the Research Field.
Garden of Medicinal Plants
The Garden of Medicinal Plants is 2 hectares. In the Garden, there are more than 150 medicinal plant species conserved organically. The Garden will be expanded to an area of 15 hectares in the near future.
Orchard
The Orchard of the Faculty of Agriculture constitutes an area of 11 hectares with a multiplicity of fruit trees. The notable fruits of the Orchard are quinces, apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, plums, tomatoes, grapes, and walnuts.
Research Greenhouses
The Faulty of Agriculture has 5 greenhouses on campus, all of which comprise an area of 1500 square meters.
Animal Husbandry Unit
The Animal Husbandry Unit of the Faculty of Agriculture, 16 kilometers away from Mashhad, is 43 hectares. The unit is actively engaged in breeding and raising livestock.
The Unit constitutes different sections, one of which is designed primarily for egg-laying chickens; the section is 600 square meters which can hold 6500 egg-laying chickens. The section for raising sheep is 900 square meters and is designed to keep 600 flocks of sheep. Furthermore, there are other sections for the raising of fish, camels, etc. too.
Ranch
The Ranch of the Faculty of Agriculture is approximately 5 hectares. About 400 herds of cattle are kept at the Ranch. Not only does the Ranch provide excellent service to students, but it is also considered to be one of the best ranches in the area in terms of supplying different kinds of services.
Research Center for the Study of Edible Mushrooms
The Research Center was established in 2006, and is 150 square meters. The Center focuses exclusively on doing research on edible mushrooms.
Weather Station
The Weather Station was established in 1982. The Station makes observations of atmospheric conditions so as to provide information to make weather forecasts and to study the weather and climate. Undergraduate and graduate students have access to the Station for their research projects.
Some of the instruments available at the Station are a thermometer, barometer, hygrometer, anemometer, wind vane, and rain gauge.
Agricultural Machinery Workshop
The Workshop was founded in 1983; it is 3500 square meters. In addition to Agricultural Machinery students, students majoring in other fields use the Workshop whilst taking a number of courses. The pieces of equipment available in the Workshop are 10 tractors, 10 welding machines, etc.
Computer Center
There are 100 computers available in the Computer Center of the Faculty of Agriculture.
