A minimum of 135 hours of credit is required for the degree of Bachelor of Arts in English. The degree is designed primarily for students who are enthusiastic about sharpening their knowledge of Persian prose and poetry. The M.A. program in Persian language and Literature includes 32 hours of credit; of these, 4 credits will be earned after the completion of a thesis. There are 40 M.A. students and 35 Ph.D. students.
