Department of Environmental Science

The Bachelor’s program for Environment Management was established to train experts in different branches of Environmental Sciences. The term environment has a broad range covering different subjects and components of nature and human environment. The imbalanced development of technologies and economics in modern times has brought us serious problems for the future of human beings and other species in the universe. At the global level, problems such as climate change and its consequences, decrease in biodiversity, decrease in fresh water resources, widespread pollution of water, air, soil, and foods all are challenging our lives. At the national level, the widespread destruction of natural resources, widespread pollution, destructive floods, extinction of valuable species of plants and animals all have led to deep concerns. Most of these problems stem from public ignorance, lack of professional human resources, and lack of local knowledge about environmental protection. The bachelor’s degree programs for Environmental Sciences attempts to develop skills in students in issues related to Environmental Sciences and also improve their abilities to implement projects related to such problems and provide solutions in line with sustainable development. Organizations and public institutions such as the Organization for Environmental Protection, local environment offices, local offices for natural resources, research institutions, municipalities, and consulting engineering companies are among those organizations who can recruit the graduates of the environmental sciences programs.
