Department of Arabic Language & Literature
The Department of Arabic Language and Literature established the Bachelor’s program in 1972. This program aims at training lecturers who can meet the language needs of different organizations including ministries such as Education, and Foreign Affairs, Mortmain and Endowments Organization, Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts, and Tourism Organization, libraries, private sector and government organizations. The Department of Arabic Language and Literature has been offering its two Master programs of Arabic Language and Literature and Arabic Translation Studies since 1991. Besides, these programs prepare Master’s students to continue their education at the Ph.D. level.
Ph.D. program at the Department of Arabic Language and Literature was established in 1998 to educate specialists as:
- University faculty members and senior-level educational leaders
- Empowered workforce to meet the needs of organizations and ministries such as Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Arabic language and literature
- Eminent researchers in the field
- Arabic language experts to manage teaching, research, and educational practices in society. More
