Faculty of Science

The Faculty of Science was established at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 1961. This faculty now comprises of four departments including Geology, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The Faculty of Science has more than 2,000 students and more than half of them are postgraduate students. Research activities and scientific productions of the faculty members are of high standards and values in terms of quality and international reputation.

As its major aims the Faculty of Sciences attempts to improve the quality of educational and research environment of the faculty, employ expert and experienced faculty members, launch new areas of specialization in postgraduate programs, publish authoritative specialized journals, improve the scientific papers of the faculty members as well as students in terms of quality and quantity, and cooperate with other universities and organization in performing research projects.
