Department of Social Sciences

The Bachelor’s program of the Department of Social Sciences started in 1969 at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. In this program, the students are trained and prepared for general professional roles related to social, educational and public affairs.

The Department of Social Sciences established its Master’s program in 1992. The aim of this program is to prepare students for becoming professional social researchers in related occupational positions. Students will learn to design and conduct social qualitative and quantitative researches independently.

The Social Science Department started admitting doctoral candidates in 2005. In this program, the students focus on Economic Sociology and Development to gain deep knowledge in this field. After their dissertations, the graduates are expected to become experts with special skills. More
